As children become stronger readers, they will develop appetites for richer and more complex stories and can handle multiple characters. 

Your child's capacity for abstract thinking is developing steadily. Help your child navigate and embrace additional levels of complexity and applying the knowledge gained from these books to their real-life questions and concerns. 

These books will assist your child in:

• Exploring how things function
• Understanding literary devices such as metaphors, Alliterations, similes, etc.
• Engaging in independent reading for extended durations
• Understanding of themselves or other communities as they find commonalities between characters, settings, plot lines
